Applying is easy

Applying for your new credit card will only take a few minutes. Before you do so, please read our terms and conditions and privacy statement.

To be eligible you must:

• have a permanent UK address 
• be over 18
• not have been declined for credit in the last month
• not have a history of bad credit: and
• not be an existing Sainsbury's Bank Credit Card holder.

To speed your application along, be sure to have the following to hand:

• your bank/building society account details
• details of any loans, credit cards/store cards you have: and  
• your employer's name and address.

Remember, For the first 12 months from account opening you will get 0% on purchases made at Sainsbury's. Excludes Sainsbury's Telecoms and Energy which will be treated as non-Sainsbury's purchases. You will get 0% for the first 3 months from account opening on non-Sainsbury's purchases. Thereafter, your personal APR for purchases will be either 16.9% APR (variable), 19.9% APR (variable), or 21.9% APR (variable). You will also get 0% for the first 10 months from account opening on balance transfers (a fee of 3% applies for each balance transfer). Thereafter your interest rates for balance transfers will be the same as for purchases. Two thirds of customers are offered our best and typical rate of 16.9% APR   (variable).  Credit available subject to status to UK residents aged 18 or over from Sainsbury's Bank plc. To keep your promotional rate you must pay at least the minimum payment by the due date and stay within your credit limit.

Will my details be secure?

Rest assured, every online credit card application is protected by 128-bit encryption software.

After you've completed your online application, we'll carry out a credit check. And once that's approved, we'll send you the completed application (so you can sign it) along with a copy of our terms and conditions.

Please note the online application form does not support Netscape browsers.
