Why has Sainsbury’s Bank decided to stop offering renewals for existing home and car insurance policies?
This decision was made to align with our strategy to deliver the right products for Sainsbury’s customers in a simplified and sustainable way.
What happens to my existing home/car insurance policy?
Your existing policy with us will remain in place until your renewal date with the cover you purchased, and you can still expect the same trusted service from us. We will be in touch shortly before your renewal date with options available to you.
What if I need to make a claim on my current policy?
Your Insurance product and cover remains the same so you can claim on your policy if required.
I am in the process of a claim; will this be impacted?
No, your claim will proceed in line with your policy terms. There is no change.
Can I make a change to my current policy?
Yes, you can make a change in line with your policy terms through our online self service or via our contact centre.
I have received a renewal invite from Sainsbury’s Bank – what should I do?
We’re still offering renewals until later this year. If you have received a renewal notice from us, please carefully review it.
I am due for renewal; can I still renew with Sainsbury’s Bank?
We’re still offering renewals until later this year. We will be in touch shortly before your renewal date to let you know what your options are.
My Sainsbury’s Bank policy is set to auto-renew – what does that mean?
If you have received a renewal invite from Sainsbury’s Bank, your policy will auto renew this year.
If you are offered a replacement policy from LV=, this will be a new policy and you will need to contact LV= once you have received your quote to discuss payment options and accept the quote.
Can I cancel my existing policy?
Yes, you can cancel your policy through our online portal. Cancellation fees may apply.
