When you access and use the quote and buy website you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you may not use the site to obtain a quote or buy car insurance.

Definitions

On this site 'esure', 'us' and 'we' means esure Services Limited (trading as Sainsburys Car Insurance) and esure Insurance Limited (as the insurer). 'You' and 'my' means the user of the site.

This site is for private individuals only

The information on this site is directed at residents of England, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man only. We are unable to insure cars in Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. The services described in this site are available to private individuals for their use only. You are not permitted to use this site or to copy any material from the site for any commercial purpose.

We explain how we use the information you give to us in Privacy and Security. That section forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

The terms and conditions that apply to Sainsbury's Car Insurance are set out in the policy. The terms and conditions that apply if you want to pay for your policy by instalments are set out in our Credit Agreement.

Quotations and premiums

The quotations provided on this site are intended as an indication only of the likely premium based on the information you provide. They are not binding quotations. If you decide you want to buy a Sainsbury's Car Insurance policy then we will ask you to confirm the information you have provided. If you fail to disclose any relevant information or provide any inaccurate information, this may invalidate your insurance policy. If you provide us with information about other people then it is your responsibility to check that the information you provide is accurate and that the other people have given you permission to give their information to us.

The 10% online discount applies to new customers purchasing a car insurance policy online.

When you complete the Payment Details section of the site, we will treat this as your proposal of insurance. You are not insured until you receive confirmation from us that we have accepted your payment and proposal.

The decision to offer you cover from Sainsburys Car Insurance is at our discretion.

You can view your policy wording at the policy page. When you take out insurance with Sainsbury's Car Insurance we will post you your schedule, policy booklet and your Certificate of Motor Insurance.

You should keep a copy of all information submitted to or received from us for your records.

Availability and content of this site

Whilst we take care to ensure that the information contained in this website is accurate and up-to-date, Sainsbury's Car Insurance gives you no promises, representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, reliability or suitability of any information on the site.

We will change the site content from time to time. If we do this, then your continued use of the site will be deemed to be acceptance of the change. However, we will not change the terms and conditions that apply to your policy during the term of your policy and we will tell you before you renew your policy if any of the policy terms and conditions have changed.

You acknowledge that there are technical limitations which affect the performance and availability of the site and that conditions affecting transmission and communication links are mainly outside our control.

Sometimes the site will be temporarily unavailable because we are carrying out maintenance or updates. At these times, you can contact us by telephone on 0800 032 0315.

We are not responsible for the content of these third party sites and we are not responsible for any of the goods or services available from those sites.

Our intellectual property rights

The copyright and other intellectual property rights in this site are owned by us or by a third party that has given us permission to use them.

Printing, copying and saving

You may copy for your own personal use any part of the site but otherwise you are not allowed to copy parts or all of this site (either on paper or by copying to disk). If you want to retrieve a quote, then you must save it.

Jurisdiction

If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate on any dispute between us. If you live in Scotland, the courts of Scotland will have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate on any dispute between us.

Sainsbury's Car Insurance products

Sainsbury's car insurance is arranged and administered by esure Services Limited as intermediary between you and the insurer. esure Services Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Your policy will be underwritten by esure Insurance Limited, part of the Halifax and Bank of Scotland group, Company Number 3885534, whose registered office is The Observatory, Reigate, Surrey RH2 0SG. Not available in Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. Age restrictions apply and subject to normal underwriting criteria.

Motoring legal protection is underwritten by esure Insurance Limited. Green Flag breakdown assistance cover is underwritten by UK Insurance Limited. You may choose from one of three different levels of breakdown assistance cover to add to your car insurance policy as required. For more details please see the policy.
