Customer Communications Assistant, 4 month Fixed Term Contract (Closing Date 24th July)

Job summary: This is a maternity cover role which is expected to start in September 2014 and last for approximately four months. The role holder will be responsible for operational customer communication for Sainsbury’s Bank.  The bank is currently transitioning from Lloyds Banking Group systems to a new bank operating model. The Customer Communications Assistant will develop appropriate standards, policies and procedures to ensure that all operational (i.e. post-sale) customer communications are:

  • Aligned  to the new bank’s customer and back office processes,
  • Reflective of the new bank’s brand values and tone of voice
  • In line with the relevant legislation and regulation (e.g. PRA, FCA)
  • Properly approved, updated and archived

Senior Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh 

We have opportunities at Senior Analyst level to work with our credit cards, loans or savings products and be responsible for delivering volume and P&L targets through the design of propositions based on a deep analytical understanding of the customer and product. The role holder will use SAS and SQL to analyse portfolio trends and past campaign performance to provide actionable insight to grow the business. In addition, the role holder will develop analytical tools to help manage the business (e.g. targeting models, scorecards and segmentations).


Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh 

As an Analyst working on either our credit cards, loans or savings products you will have a great opportunity to learn about Sainsbury's Bank through supporting the delivery of volume and P&L targets.  This will be achieved through the design of propositions based on a deep analytical understanding of the customer and product. The role holder will use SAS and SQL to analyse portfolio trends and past campaign performance to provide actionable insight to grow the business.


Modelling Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh 

This role is required to develop and maintain robust statistical models using advanced data analysts techniques against the rich Sainsbury's Bank customer and prospect pool Nectar data to better understand our Customer Base and the Sainsbury's Nectar Shoppers. The models will be utilised to provide insightful, high quality complex information, advice and guidance to the business on customer profitability, lifetime value, channel preference and acquisition and cross sales propensities to assist with identification of important customer groups for acquisition, cross sales and retention activity. The role will work closely with the Modelling Manager to ensure models and insights generated meet business requirements, remain robust and continue to add business value.


Web Analyst- Edinburgh 

Job summary: Reporting to the User Experience Manager you will work with our online web analytics tools such as Webtrends and Google Analytics in order to produce detailed MI to the business. This MI will be key to the UX team in order to identify improvements and conversion opportunities.


Segmentation Analyst -  10 Month Contract - Edinburgh (Closing 1st August)

Job summary: This role is required to support our New Bank Programme through identifying our customer segments to allow us to build a targeted Communication strategy during our migration to new systems.

Financial Planning and Analysis Manager - Maternity Cover, Edinburgh (Closing date 29th July) 

The Manager – FPA role is responsible for the management of the annual (Q2F and Q4F) budgeting process and monthly flash financial forecast. The role holder is also responsible for delivery of the capital plan, aspects of the annual ICAAP analysis, as well adhoc analysis / projects as required by the Head of FPA. A key capability of this individual will be the ability to understand the overall business model of the bank, to rapidly assess the implications of new proposals and trading issues, and to drive insight with the aim of improving decision making and the effectiveness of the budgeting process. The role holder will also be responsible for the management of one analyst


Business Intelligence Manager - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 5th August) 

This role is required to create a Centre of Excellence for Business Intelligence. To provide accurate and relevant Business Intelligence to all parts of the business in the most cost effective, flexible, user-friendly and timely manner. To maintain one version of data definitions for dashboards and ensure they are consistently used across the business. To deliver dashboards across Product, Customer, Channel & Campaign dimensions.
