Finance Operations Manager - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 25th November)
The role is a new permanent role required to lead one of two expanding sub-teams providing a shared service style financial control function for the Bank. These two sub-teams provide the core finance operations support within the wider Finance Operations team. Each sub-team has its own customer base to support as well as a specific range of bank wide accounting processes to run.
Regulatory Reporting Manager - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 25th November)
Responsible for ensuring that the Bank meets all its regulatory reporting responsibilities to the PRA, Bank of England, European Banking Authority and HMRC. Manage the preparation and submission of the Bank’s regulatory returns and the production of internal analysis related to the ongoing monitoring of capital adequacy and liquidity. Responsible for the implementation of system and process changes driven by regulatory/financial reporting developments and/or business change.
Assistant Regulatory Reporting Manager - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 25th November)
The postholder will support the Regulatory Reporting Manager in the delivery of accurate and timely financial and regulatory information, and the ongoing monitoring of capital adequacy and liquidity. The postholder will also be actively involved in the implementation of system-based projects linked to regulatory or financial reporting developments.
Assistant Manager Finance Operations - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 25th November)
The role is a new role required to take over responsibility for running the income accounting processes for the Bank as well as the main monthly reporting and analysis processes. These duties are currently being covered by a combination of other Assistant Managers and the Head of Finance Operations. As a result of a major project underway within the Bank replacing the current General Ledger the postholder will be required to review the impact on existing processes and design and implement changes. The role is temporary pending a wider restructuring within the team.
Finance Operations Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 25th November)
The role is a new role to cover additional work as a result of a major project underway within the Bank impacting the General Ledger set-up, Accounts Payable process and source systems. It will involve taking on a wide range of existing or new BAU tasks.
Balance Sheet Management Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 25th November)
The postholder will support existing team to develop and maintain the models and tools necessary to manage the financial risks and optimise the earnings on the SB balance sheet.
Project work will include consideration of enhanced use of software for tasks beyond current usage. E.g. forecasting, capital, funds transfer pricing, more dynamic balance sheet modelling.
Treasury Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing date 2nd December)
As part of the Treasury Back Office within the wider Financial Operations team, the Treasury Analyst role plays an important part in supporting this team and the wider business. The role covers a wide range of tasks, some daily and monthly and other more ad hoc requests which you will take responsibility for initiating and completing to agreed timescales.
The role is a new role as a result of increasing activity within the Treasury Back Office. This role works in a rota, together with two other similar roles, ensuring key daily processes are prepared accurately and within tight deadlines.
The individual will work closely with the wider finance and treasury teams. The individual must also be able to recognise potential problems and assist in developing solutions and improvements.

Senior Risk Analyst, Analysis and Planning - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing 25th November)
Responsible for risk analysis & reporting for Operations, providing insight into how effectively risks are being managed and identifying areas for improvement. The role holder will contribute to the oversight of the quality of the risk data, produce regular and ad hoc risk analysis & reporting and make recommendations for developing the risk reporting.
Risk Review Manager - 12 months FTC, Edinburgh (Closing 25th November)
Responsible for assessing whether the risk management framework being developed for Operations in the New Bank is aligned with the requirements of the Bank’s Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework. The role holder will have responsibility for assessing the Risk Management Framework being implemented for the New Bank, identifying and escalating gaps and weaknesses where appropriate.
Operations Control Consultant - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing 2nd December)
The postholder will support the Operations Control Team in embedding the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework (EWRMF) into the existing Operations business. In addition, support the Risk Review Manager, Risk & Planning in assessing whether the risk management framework being developed for Operations in the New Bank is aligned with the requirements of the Bank’s EWRMF.
ATM Operations Coordinator - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing 27th November)
The role holder will support the ATM service delivered by Sainsbury’s Bank.
The role holder will have responsibility for: compiling various MI reports and supplier scorecards; assisting in the ATM installation process including compliance to process and policy; managing ATM stock reconciliation; reviewing and challenge suppliers daily performance; supporting the Relationship Managers, taking minutes and driving actions from supplier meetings; reporting card fraud attacks to relative card scheme.

This role's main purpose is to facilitate and embed effective risk management across Sainsbury's Bank providing assurance on risk adequacy of control environment.
Senior Provisioning and Forecasting Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing 28th November)
This role's main tasks are to produce bad debt forecasts for credit cards, personal loans and mortgages. In order to achieve this there is a requirement to closely monitor bad debts splitting internal operational effects from external economic impacts. This will ensure we can generate a forecast which is more reflective of these two effects. The postholder will also own all aspects of delivery of credit risk model inputs/outputs/development for stress testing components for ICAAP which will ensure that Sainsburys Bank remains in line with industry best practice.

You will work within the Legal Team of Sainsbury's Bank and provide effective and timely legal advice on a broad range of commercial issues to support the entire Sainsbury's Bank business. You will be a confident and self‐motivated individual with a minimum of 2 years relevant commercial experience from private practice or an in‐house position in a corporate/commercial contracts role. You will be qualified to practice law in Scotland or England (or dual-qualified).
You will have the ability to communicate and influence at all levels and your organisational and analytical skills will be strong. The ability to work well as part of a team is also important. You will be a strong support to the other Legal Team members through assisting with their ongoing projects as well as taking control of your own projects.

Marketing Governance Manager - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing 25th November)
Provide effective management of the governance framework for Risk and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to the Customer Department. Take a lead role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in relation to marketing for Risk and SRM including co-ordination of operational and conduct risk and also adherence to company policy and processes specifically for SRM. Senior Cards Analyst - Permanent, Edinburgh (Closing 3rd December)
As Senior Analyst working on credit cards products, the role holder will be responsible for delivering volume and P&L targets through the design of propositions based on a deep analytical understanding of the customer and product. The role holder will use SAS and SQL to analyse portfolio trends and past campaign performance to provide actionable insight to grow the business.
In addition, the role holder will develop analytical tools to help manage the business (e.g. targeting models, scorecards and segmentations).

The postholder will play a vital part in maintaining an efficient, timely and pro-active sourcing, recruitment and HR support function for Sainsbury’s Bank, working closely with our parent organisation, J Sainsbury's.
