» Back to Borrowing home

Idea 1

See how much you can afford

It might sound obvious, but if you're borrowing money, you need to make sure you can pay it back. Think about what you'd do if your circumstances were to change. Calculate what your monthly repayments would be for different sums you might want to borrow and look at the different places you could apply for this credit. Work out how much you would have to pay back overall, and how long you would have to do it.

Always remember to shop around and see what credit and borrowing options are available.

You'll find some more useful information including a budget planner on the FSA website.
