Internet Saver

How do I pay money in?

Ready to apply?

It's straight forward and only takes a few minutes

Apply online?

As Internet Saver is an online account, you will require to apply, and thereafter service your account, online.  This application is short and simple.

As part of the process we will also register you for Sainsbury's Bank Online.  This is the service you will use to view and manage your account.

There are a few things you should know before you begin:

  • You must be over 18 and UK resident to open an Internet Saver.
  • If you are applying for a joint account you will also complete the application on the second applicant's behalf. You must be entitled to disclose information about them.  Click here to find out what information you need for a joint application
  • If you wish you can open and operate an Internet Saver through the online Power of Attorney facility
  • For security reasons you may find that you are 'timed-out' of the application following periods of inactivity so it is easier if you have all the information you need before you start.

The gross rate is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law (currently 20%).AER stands for annual equivalent rate and illustrates what the interest would be if interest was paid and compounded each year. Net is the rate of interest paid after the deduction of lower rate tax at 20%.  Variable interest paid annually.  Withdrawals are by transfer to another account only.
