Why is child car seat insurance important?
You can never be too careful when it comes to keeping your babies, toddlers and young children safe. And that includes making sure their car seats are in tip top condition.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents says child car seats should always be replaced after an accident [i]. Even if they don’t look damaged, they’re no longer safe to use.
We care about your safety, that’s why with our car insurance policies you’ll receive car seat replacement cover as standard.
What’s covered?
Our Third Party, Fire and Theft policy covers your child seat if your car is damaged by fire, theft or attempted theft.
The same goes if you have our Comprehensive cover, but this insurance policy also covers car seat replacement after an accident.
As long as your policy is up-to-date, we’ll pay the cost of replacing your child’s seat with a new one of a similar standard.
What’s not covered?
We can only accept an insurance claim for a new child car seat if we’ve already approved your claim for fire, theft or an accident.
