It's always upsetting when we damage one of our treasured possessions, and no matter how careful we are, sometimes accidents do happen. Adding Accidental Damage Cover to your policy could make sure that your treasure isn't lost forever.

What is Contents Accidental Damage Cover?

It's an optional extra accidental damage insurance you can take out for an additional cost and it covers the cost of repairing or replacing your belongings when they're damaged by mistake. Our Contents Cover has some accidental damage cover as standard, such as accidentally damaging the TV. This optional extra gives you even more cover for things like spilling paint on the new carpet for example.

What's not covered

There are some things we don't cover. Check our policy document for full details, but here are some of the main ones to remember. You're not covered for loss or damage:

• Caused by scratching or denting
• Caused by or during cleaning, maintenance, repairs and restoration
• Caused by wear and tear or other damage that happens gradually
