With our Standard and Plus comprehensive insurance policies, you’ll get up to £200 if any personal belongings and clothes in your car get stolen, lost or damaged by an accident or a fire
We'll also give you up to £200 for your Sainsbury's shopping if it's damaged by theft, attempted theft, fire, or if you're in an accident while driving home from the shops.
What's not covered?
There are some personal belongings we don't cover:
Money, jewellery, credit or debit cards, stamps and vouchers
Anything covered by another policy
Anything that wasn't hidden from view in the car – except your Sainsbury's shopping
Anything stolen when your car was unlocked, had the keys in it, or a window, door or roof was open
Loss or damage to laptops, mobile phones, smart phones, tablets or things like sat navs
Fuel, including fuel bought from a Sainsbury’s filling station
This feature is not available as part of our Third Party, Fire and Theft policy or Essentials Comprehensive policy. Also note that exclusions, excesses and limits apply – you can find out more about our personal belongings cover in our car insurance policy documents.
