What is travel insurance?
Before you jet off, consider protecting yourself against holiday mishaps with Sainsbury’s Bank Travel Insurance. Often referred to as holiday insurance, travel insurance could help cover the cost of any unexpected medical expenses or damaged personal items while you’re abroad. It could even reimburse you if you need to cancel a trip or cut it short.
Our travel insurance can be tailored to make sure you have the right level of cover in place. That means you can focus on what matters most – enjoying your holiday.
Why choose Sainsbury’s Bank?
Nectar members save up to 20% on all travel insurance policies. Discount doesn't apply to premiums for pre-existing medical conditions, enhanced gadget cover or enhanced COVID-19 cover.*
Choose from Silver or our 5 star Defaqto rated Gold or Platinum cover
Cover for unlimited medical expenses if you choose Platinum annual or single trip cover
24/7 helpline available in case of medical emergencies
All Sainsbury’s Bank Travel Insurance policies can be tailored to cover many pre-existing medical conditions.
A pre-existing medical condition is an injury, illness, disease or other medical condition that happens before your holiday starts.
You need to declare it before you get your quote. You’ll also need to let us know about any new medical conditions that arise before your trip starts. And if the nature of a condition you’ve declared changes, you need to let us know about that too.
Compare travel insurance: which policy is right for you?
