These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials.

Entry instructions are deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information. Please note nothing in these Terms restricts the entrant's statutory rights as a consumer and if required advice can be obtained from a Trading Standards Office or Citizens Advice Bureau for further information relating to these statutory rights.

Eligibility and Entry Instructions

  1. This promotion is open to United Kingdom (England, Wales and Scotland and Northern Ireland) residents aged 18 or over, who are the primary cardholder of  a Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card (“Primary Cardholders”), who receive the prize draw opt in email from Sainsbury’s Bank and who opted into the prize draw via www.sainsburysbank.co.uk/holiday-prize-draw-2024​ supplied via the email to the email address provided when registering for their Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card (“Promotion Email”), excluding any person employed or otherwise engaged by, and their immediate families of:
  • Sainsbury’s Bank (the “Promoter”);
  • Mastercard UK;
  • Their subsidiaries, other group companies, agents; or
  • anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  1. The promotion will run from 12:00 GMT on 04/03/2024 until 23:59 GMT on 29/03/2024 inclusive (“Promotional Period”). Entries received outside of the promotional period will be invalid.
  2. To enter the prize draw, Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card cardholders must visit the Sainsbury’s Bank Travel Campaign page on www.sainsburysbank.co.uk/holiday-prize-draw-2024​ supplied via the Promotion Email, opt in to the prize draw and thereafter spend a minimum of £50 in a single transaction using their Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card (each transaction equates to two entries), maximum of 10 entries (five transactions) per cardholder via this route; or make a purchase (no minimum spend required) at Sainsbury’s, Argos and/or Habitat using their Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card (each transaction equates to one entry), maximum one entry per cardholder via this route, all during the Promotional Period. The Promotion Email may not be forwarded to others for entry.   3. Subject to clause 5 below, “transaction” means purchases of goods or services a cardholder would usually make using their Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card, from shops and online retailers in the UK and abroad. (Please note that fees may apply if you use your card abroad.)
  4. Transactions do not include: cash transactions (such as ATM withdrawals and purchases of travellers’ cheques and purchases of foreign currency), transactions at casinos, betting outlets or bookmakers, trading or spread betting, pending transactions, refunded transactions, unauthorised or fraudulent transactions, or payments to online or offline accounts (including current and savings accounts; including any payments of fees, charges or interest and any Direct Debit or Standing Orders paid into your account) or any balance transfers made to your Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card.
  5. By submitting an entry to the prize draw, you understand and agree that you are providing information to Sainsbury’s Bank. You accept that your first name, last name, contact phone number, and email address as provided when registering for a Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card and also passport details (if the Promoter is required to book flights for the winner(s) will be retained for up to 3 months after the end of the promotion for the purpose of contacting you if you are a winner after which any data obtained will be deleted. Winner data will be deleted on completion of their trip. Each prize winner will also need to provide the first and last names of their family members, their home address for transfers, shipping address for delivery of the Mastercard prepaid card, and any dietary requirements. This information will be processed in accordance with the Sainsbury's Bank Privacy Notice, which can be viewed here: https://www.sainsburysbank.co.uk/legals/leg-reg-privacy-policy. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose. You acknowledge that the Promoter may pass such information to its third-party agency Big Group, solely for the purposes of administering the promotion.   6. Only eleven entries per cardholder are permitted during the Promotional Period via the entry routes as described above. A maximum of one prize can be won by a Primary Cardholder and only one winner per household. Entries (bulk or otherwise) made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be all disqualified and the prize award will be void.
  7. Entrants who do not give correct details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion.
  8. Numerous factors outside the control of the Promoter may interfere with the operation of the website. The Promoter does not therefore guarantee continuous uninterrupted or secure access to the website.
  9. Incomplete, illegible, invalid or misdirected entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
  10. Purchase is necessary and internet access is required.

Prizes and Fulfilment

  1. Entries must be received during the Promotional Period until 23:59 GMT on 29/03/2024 (“Closing Date”). The prize draw will take place on or before 05/04/2024 and an independent judge will randomly select the winners from all eligible entries (and some reserve winners). The winners will be notified by email and phone call via the details provided on registration for a Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card between Friday 12 April 2024 and Thursday 18 April 2024. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their email and phone connections during this period in case they are a winner.
  2. The winners will have 10 days from first being contacted to accept their prize by following the instructions provided in the winning email notification. Failure to do this, or if a winner is ineligible, is unavailable to complete their trip before 31 December 2024 or rejects their prize, will result in the prize being forfeited and the Promoter will award the prize to the first runner-up (if the main prize winner forfeits) or a reserve winner (if one of the runner-up winners forfeits) selected at the same time as the original winners. A winner will be redrawn if they have won previously. The process will be repeated until all prizes have been claimed or within 3 months of the closing date, whichever is first. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Once winners have accepted their prize by following the instructions provided in the winning email notification and the completion of any verification process, Mastercard’s agency Big Group Limited will provide further information on timings for the experience and details on how tickets will be issued within 2 weeks of their prize being booked.   1. The winners must be 18 years old or over.
     
  2. The winners and their guests are responsible for all expenses not expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions as being included as part of the prizes. All other costs and expenses incurred are the winners’ and their guest’s own.
     
  3. The winners must complete their trips by 22 December 2024. Travel dates exclude all UK bank holidays and any international local holidays for the chosen destination for the Main Prize. Six weeks advance notice by prize winners to Big Group Limited is required ahead of desired travel dates, in order to book packages.
     
  4. Prize packages (and associated tickets) are as stated and nothing else is included. There is no cash or other alternative for the prizes in whole or in part, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize, or part of a prize, with one of equal or greater value at the choosing and discretion of the Promoter.
     
  5. If fulfilment or any element of this prize draw will be delayed or affected due to government restrictions, and/or those outside of the reasonable control of the Promoter, all entrants affected will be contacted by the Promoter and kept updated of any unavoidable changes to the promotional dates, revised fulfilment dates or prizes.
     
  6. Winners may be requested, but are not obliged, to participate in any reasonable publicity when asked by the Promoter and shall not receive reimbursement for such publicity. By entering this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Other Important Information

  1. Prize packages (and associated tickets) are personal to the winner(s) and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of any tickets and/or part of any of the prize package is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel tickets and withdraw or make void any and all prize elements if this term is not complied with.
  2. The Promoter and its agents does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the promotion or as a result of accepting their prize or any element of their prize. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, and its agents are not liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from or caused by the weather, acts of God, war, accident, pandemic or epidemic and any related government action or any other government restrictions or regulations, or from an act or omission of any individual or condition beyond its control.
     
  3. The winner(s) and their guest(s) take part in their prize at their own risk and to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Promoter will have no liability in relation to the conduct of the winners or their guests, nor in connection with any circumstances outside its control with respect to the prizes once fulfilled. The winners are subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions of any and all third parties involved in the fulfilment of the prizes.   4. It is the responsibility of the winner and/or their guest(s) to meet any costs relating to obtaining travel insurance cover. The Prize winner and their guest are responsible for and must comply with any travel insurance / health advice / regulations / inoculations required by any destination country.  Any associated costs for this are the responsibility of the winner and their party (where applicable).
     
  5. The main prize draw winner and their guest(s) must each have a valid passport and have all necessary and relevant visas (if applicable) to travel to the chosen prize destination. Each person’s passport must have an expiry date no less than 6 months following the dates of travel, unless otherwise specified by a pertinent regulation. All passport and visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the relevant winner and guest(s).

General

  1. The Promoter will make available the Main Prize winner’s surname and county of residence upon request by emailing mastercard.promotions@biggroup.co.uk, within 3 months after the Closing Date of this promotion, as per clause 8.28.5 of the CAP Code. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any or all such requests. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting mastercard.promotions@biggroup.co.uk. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so to indicate that a valid prize award took place.   2. It is the responsibility of each entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the promotion and accepting their prize. The Promoter will not be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or prize fulfilment.
  3. The Promoter will not be held responsible for a winner and/or their guest not taking advantage of their prize due to health or any other reason.
  4. Each prize must be taken by the winners unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter. 
  5. The Promoter has no control over internet or communication networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion.
  6. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained not arising from any person’s negligence in connection with this promotion or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winners including but not limited to asking for proof of address and ID (passport, driving licence or equivalent) and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion or any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where an entrant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means. 
  8. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  9. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
  10. These Terms and Conditions (and any non-contractual issues which arise out of or in connection with them) shall be governed by relevant English law with any disputes as to the meaning of these Terms and Conditions subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts unless you live in another part of the UK (outside England and Wales), in which case your local courts will have jurisdiction.
