Well, some peace of mind for starters. We can pay many vets directly, or we’ll refund you within seven days. And if you want to insure more than one pet, we can help with that too. We’ve even got a few ways to help your pocket:

We can help if your dog becomes ill when you’re away on holiday, isn’t allowed back in to the UK, or if your dog’s illness means you need to return home in an emergency.

If your dog goes missing, we can help you find them. We can also help with emergency boarding fees if you become ill and need someone to look after your pet.

Ready to insure your dog?

You can take out a new insurance policy if your dog’s between eight weeks and nine years old, and even add up to six pets on the same policy. Regardless of the type of cover you choose, once you have it, you can cover your dog up to any age, as long as you keep renewing the policy without a break. *12 months for 9 is an introductory offer available to new Pet Insurance customers who buy online. The discounted premium is paid in 12 monthly instalments. Sainsbury's Bank reserves the right to alter, cancel or withdraw the offer without prior notice.

†Multi-pet discount is a minimum of £24 when insuring more than one pet as this is worked out at £1 per pet per month for each pet on a policy, up to a maximum of six pets. Pets can have different cover levels and optional extras. Discount deducted separately from any other offer.

††Double Nectar points 1) Offer available to customers buying a new Sainsbury’s Bank Pet Insurance policy. 2) You need to tell us your Nectar card number when you apply, and use this card with each Sainsbury’s purchase. 3) Double points begin on your policy’s cover start date.
