Sainsbury’s Pet Insurance, provided by Allianz Insurance plc, lets you insure up to six pets on one single policy. There are three policy levels as well as additional cover options so you can tailor the cover to suit each of your cats or dogs individual needs.

Excess of £75 applies for each unrelated injury or illness claim. All treatments must be referred by vet. Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Terms and conditions apply.

You can take out a new policy if your pet is older than eight weeks but has not yet reached their ninth birthday. However, once you've bought your insurance, cover can continue up to any age if you renew the existing policy.

Both Premier and Premier Plus provide ongoing cover up to a maximum benefit amount provided you renew your policy each year without a break in cover. The Standard policy offers cover for treatment of each illness or injury for 12 months, up to the policy limit.
