Skiing and snowboarding holidays are full of thrills and excitement. When you’re out on the slopes the last thing you need to worry about is a fall or damage to your skis. We offer peace of mind with winter sports insurance specifically created to help protect you and your winter sport equipment whilst you’re away.
Adding our optional winter sport cover to your Sainsbury’s Bank travel insurance policy underwritten by Great Lakes Insurance SE will cover you while you enjoy activities in the snow, including:
- On-piste skiing and snowboarding,
- Off-piste skiing and snowboarding, with a qualified guide or instructor,
- cross country skiing,
- sledging and,
- ski racing, when it is arranged by ski schools for pupils.
Why choose us for your winter sport cover?
We’ll cover your winter sports equipment if it’s lost, stolen, damaged, or even if it's significantly delayed getting to your destination. If any of that does happens, we’ll cover the cost of hiring replacement equipment, so you don’t have to miss out on time on the slopes.
If you’re sick or have an accident, we’ll reimburse the cost of your unused ski pack, ski hire or tuition fees. If you lose your ski pass or if it's stolen, we will also reimburse you. And we’ll pay you some money to do something else if your piste is closed for a significant period of time because of too much or too little snow, or even bad weather.
Like all Sainsbury’s Bank’s travel insurance policies, winter sport insurance offers three levels of cover – Silver, Gold and Platinum – and can cover individuals, couples, families and groups of travellers. When you buy our travel insurance we also offer up to 20% off for Nectar members*
