Get insurance for your family holiday
You’ve booked the flights, made hotel reservations and got the kids excited. Now there’s just one more essential to take care of before you set off to enjoy the sun, sea and sand – family holiday insurance. It’ll give you peace of mind that you’re covered should anything go wrong while you’re away.
With our travel insurance, we’ll help to cover the cost of medical treatment if you or a family member become ill while you’re abroad. Without it, you might need to pay out upfront, and healthcare abroad can be very expensive. So, it’s important to make sure you have the right cover in place.

Why family travel insurance?
Travel insurance is an essential purchase for any holiday. And, whether you’re a single or two-parent family, it’s best to choose a policy that covers everyone – like ours. Just make sure you, your partner and children are named on the policy when you take it out.
Our key benefits include:
If you or a family member need any medical treatment while on holiday, we’ll help cover the cost of expenses. That includes any costs incurred if a rescue service to the hospital is needed, or repatriation home.
If your family holiday is cancelled, our travel insurance will cover the cost of non-refundable, pre-booked travel and accommodation expenses. We’ll also cover pre-booked excursions and additional costs if you need to return to the UK early.
If you choose Gold or Platinum level cover, insurance could help if you or a family member are involved in a serious accident while on holiday.
The amount of cover will depend on your age, and if your aged 66 or over you’ll only be covered if an accident you’re involved in results in death.
This covers injury or illness to another person, or damage to their property, that’s caused by either you or another member of your family who is listed on the policy.
Some activities are not covered. Limits and exclusions apply, check your policy summary for more details.
There’s no need to worry about losing money if your travel plans are delayed or cancelled. Our travel insurance can offer some compensation for you and your family.
If you lose any vital documents, like your passport, driving licence or travel documents, we’ll provide cover for the cost of temporary replacement documents.
No insurance policy covers every eventuality, for full details of the benefits, limitations, terms and conditions please review our policy document.
Which policy is right for you?
The type of insurance you need will depend on your holiday plans.
How travel insurance works when a family member is ill
Our policies cover a wide range of pre-existing medical conditions, including epilepsy, heart conditions and asthma. It’s important that you tell us about any medical conditions when you get a quote, either online by phone, to make sure you and your family have the right cover in place. If you don’t, claims may be rejected, or payment could be reduced.
