Nectar points


As well as better exchange rates, you’ll collect Nectar points when you buy travel money.

It’s simple: just tell us your Nectar account number when you order. The more currency you buy, the more points you get*.

For example, if you order £150 in store, you’ll collect 10 points. And if you order £480 online, you’ll collect 20 points.

How to get your travel money

You can order currency online for home delivery** or at one of our travel money bureaux.

Buying at an in-store bureau?


Simply tell us your Nectar account number at the bureau and a better rate will be automatically applied to your order. Nectar points will be added to your account within 60 days of your transaction.

We have many travel money bureaux in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.

You can take advantage of our Nectar member benefits online. Just tell us your Nectar account number when you order.

Spending your Nectar points

Now for the fun bit — where you can enjoy your rewards. You can use your Nectar points for things like cinema tickets, meals out, train tickets and shopping from a range of brands, including:

Nectar points can be collected on foreign currency purchases made in store and online. Excludes travel money card home delivery orders and online reloads. 10 Nectar points will be awarded on each full £100 of foreign currency purchased in store and 5 points will be awarded on each full £100 of currency ordered online. Purchases under £100 will receive 10 points if made in store or 5 points if ordered online. We’ll add the points to your Nectar account within 60 days of your transaction.

**You can order currency for a secure home delivery by 1pm on the day of your choice by Royal Mail (Mon- Sat). For next day delivery your order needs to be confirmed before 3pm (Mon- Fri). Please note that whilst Royal Mail make every effort to delivery on schedule, we cannot guarantee this as it is beyond our control. Highlands and Islands (including Channel Islands) are not guaranteed next day delivery. Delivery is free on all cash orders £500 or more (£5.00 for orders between £100 and £499.99). The minimum order for home delivery is £100. The delivery day quoted is dependent on the order day being a working day; if one of those days is a public holiday then additional day(s) will be added accordingly. All home delivery orders are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, unless we advise you otherwise, to your billing address, and a signature will be required upon delivery. A valid telephone number is required for home delivery.
