If you're the last minute kind of traveller, you may decide to exchange currency at the airport or take money out from an ATM at your chosen destination. However, being prepared and buying travel money before you go could help ensure that you have fewer problems to deal with when you arrive.

There are over 50 currencies available from Sainsbury’s Bank and if you order before 2pm online or by 2.30pm by phone we aim to get your foreign currency to you by the next working day. If you prefer, you can pick up your currency instore.

A A £1.99 administration fee applies to all online orders under £100 collected instore. Delivery charge of £5 applies on minimum orders of £100 - £499.99 and free delivery on orders of £500 or more.

Customers can collect Nectar points on all instore and online purchases of foreign currency. The number of Nectar points collected is based on the value of the currency transaction: 5 points are collected for transactions between £0 and £249.99; 10 points for transactions between £250 and £499.99; 20 points for transactions between £500 and £799.99 and 50 points for transactions of £800 or more. To qualify for Nectar points a Nectar card must be presented at the point of purchase instore. For online orders, a Nectar card number must be entered at the time of purchase. Points may take up to 60 days from time of purchase to appear on your account.
**Better rates for Nectar card holders are calculated by reducing our retail margins on single purchase transactions of Euros & US Dollars bought instore and on all foreign currencies available online or by phone. Not available in conjunction with ‘rate promise’ offer. A Nectar card must be presented at the time of purchase.
