If you find your pet's dental fees are a little expensive, we can negotiate directly with your vet to ensure you're getting value for money.

If you’re heading off on holiday with your pets, don’t worry about fees for any possible dental treatment. You get 90 days overseas cover in a policy year, in any country included in the UK government’s Pet Travel Scheme – PETS**.

There are a few costs we don’t cover

Our dental cover pays for most things to keep your pet’s teeth strong and their gums healthy. But there are one or two things we don’t cover.

We won’t cover:

  • Conditions you knew about before buying your insurance
  • Illnesses and symptoms occurring within 14 days of your policy start date
  • Dental treatment if your pet hasn’t had regular check-ups
  • Dental crowns, root canals or fillings

How to claim on our dental cover

Making a claim is simple. You need to complete a claim form – call 0344 543 1032 or you can download one from My Pet Portal. We pay 97% of claims in seven working days, so you shouldn’t have to wait long to get your money back.

Before your vet treats your pet, it’s important to confirm that they can provide invoices and a full medical history.

We’ll need:

  • An official receipt with your vet’s phone number and address
  • Your pets’ passport details (if the treatment was overseas)
  • Treatment notes from your vet
