A house just isn’t a home without a pet. And, just like any other member of the family, it’s important to keep your furry friends covered. So make sure they get the care they deserve with Sainsbury’s Bank Pet Insurance.

Our pet insurance offers flexible and affordable cover. We’ll be with you every step of the way and help you deal with any unexpected vet bills. We can even pay most vets directly so that you’re not out of pocket, and you can track the progress of your claim online. If we’re not able to pay your vet directly, we’ll make sure we refund you within seven days. We’ll also be on hand to help you get your pet back if he or she goes missing, and cover any emergency boarding fees.

We know all pets are different. That’s why we’ve created pet insurance with optional extras, so you can personalise your policy to suit you and your pet. Insure cats and dogs aged from eight weeks with us, and add up to six pets on the same policy.

Holiday Cover:

You’ve sorted a pet sitter to look after your pet while you’re away - but what if your animal has an accident, or gets sick? Could the pet sitter cope?

If your pet is travelling with you, you could find yourself having to cut your trip short if it gets ill. And what happens if your pet isn’t allowed back into the UK after travelling?

That’s where our Holiday Cover comes in. It can offer extra peace of mind, and help with:

Cats wander freely and dogs love to roam off their lead. It’s in their nature and we wouldn’t expect anything less. Sadly, there are times when cats and dogs go missing. If that happens, we can offer support to help you find your pet.

Safe Return cover can also help with emergency boarding fees if you become ill and need someone to look after your pet.
