A soft search is a search that allow you to check what credit card deals you’re most eligible without affecting your credit score. This search has the advantage of not leaving any record on your credit file, while stopping you from applying for a card you aren’t eligible for.
Will the eligibility tool affect my credit file?
No, it won’t affect your credit record. The purpose of the eligibility tool is to know whether you are likely to be accepted without affecting your credit record.
